The Biomedical Genomics Server Solution and its backends, including the CLC Server job nodes and the grid nodes, must run on the same type of operating system.
Analysis on the CLC Genomics Server can only be initiated from either Biomedical Genomics Workbench, CLC Genomics Workbench or the Command Line Tools, thus not from other Workbenches from CLC bio.
